About: In a single, unbroken long take, Have a nICE Day immerses the audience in the warmth of the Garcia family, a tight-knit Dominican household in New York. Gina, their soon-to-be-doctor daughter (played by Celines Estevez), joins her parents and younger brother for a proud, laughter-filled dinner—until ICE agents burst through the door, shattering their world in an instant.
This 8-minute short, directed by Berman Fenelus, explores family, identity, and the devastating human cost of mistaken enforcement.
